Nina LoSchiavo is a multidisciplinary designer living and pixel pushing in New York City. Currently she's the Creative Lead at the Lower East Side Partnership (LESP), an economic development not-for-profit that works with local business along the Orchard Street corridor. Previous to her work at LESP, she designed covers and packaging at HarperCollins Publishers for the Harper and HarperPerennial Imprints. She has interned with the teams at Macmillan, Penguin Group USA, Housing Works Inc., and Sony Music Entertainment.
Nina is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts where she received a BFA in Graphic Design. Her self-initiated collegiate case studies focused on civil rights advocacy, with goals of spotlighting design and moving images' effectiveness on culture and society and visa versa. Her work has been shown at the Visual Arts Gallery, the Art Director's Club, and her parent's living room. Her photographs have been featured on Curbed NY, Cosmopolitan, TimeOut New York, MassAppeal, and FastCompany. Cover designs have been seen on Buzzfeed and Casual Optimist.
She was born in Brooklyn's Park Slope, raised on Staten Island, and educated in New York City. She currently resides in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side with her partner, and cats, Eleanor and Rigby.
